ST. John Paul II EMC 11th Anniversary celebration
Echoes Of Excellence
The 11th anniversary of ST. John Paul II EMC Wennappuwa was held tremendously on May 9, 2025. It was an enormous celebration with astounding talents being showcased. The conscientiousness and vigor of the superiors and teachers, and the Paulians, have brought success through these 11 years of excellence.
First and foremost, the upper section library was inaugurated by his lordship, Rt. Rev. Dr. Wimalsiri Jayasuriya, which was a legendary dream which stood far beyond boundaries and was a huge dream come true for all the paulians. Next, the holy mass was conducted by his lordship with the company of Rev. Fr. Principals, vice principals, and Rev. Brothers. Afterwards, the major ceremony ‘Echoes of Excellence’ was held. It was one of the most dominant events held so far in our college. The chief guest who graced this occasion was the
honourable bishop, his lordship, Rt. Rev. DR. Wimalsiri Jayasuriya, the guests were Mr. Sisira Yapa with the Lake House team, the dignitaries: the prior rector, Rev. Fr. Nevil, and the initial principal, Rev. Sis. Anne Murial, and the notable figures of the article writers. On the occasion, ‘PANORAMA’, the official school newspaper, and the new school website, e-newspaper, were launched. Moreover, the certificate distribution for the article writing winners was held. In conclusion of this ceremony auspiciously, the felicitations were given to his lordship, Rev. Fr. Nevil, and to Rev. Sis. Anne Murial. The ceremony was completed victoriously, which was a pride filled moment. May the paulians strive for greatness in years to come!
